3D Printer Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D Printer Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and operating our industrial 3D printers, ensuring optimal performance and the production of high-quality parts. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, conducting routine maintenance, and collaborating with design and engineering teams to bring their concepts to life. The 3D Printer Technician will play a pivotal role in driving our additive manufacturing processes forward while contributing to the development of cutting-edge products.

Responsibilities:

• Setup, calibrate, and operate industrial 3D printers, ensuring they are ready for efficient and accurate production.
• Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to interpret and translate digital models into successful printed objects.
• Monitor printing processes and parameters, making real-time adjustments as needed to maintain quality and meet production goals.
• Conduct routine maintenance on 3D printers, performing cleaning, part replacement, and system upgrades to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during printing, analyzing problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of printing parameters, materials used, and production results for future reference and process improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in additive manufacturing technologies and industry best practices to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of the printing processes.
• Train and assist colleagues in operating 3D printers and post-processing techniques.
• Work in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in 3D printing, engineering, or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining industrial 3D printers, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, digital models, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with various 3D printing materials, their properties, and post-processing techniques.
• Solid understanding of additive manufacturing principles, including layering, material extrusion, and slicing software.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.
